Elijah's story in 1 Kings 19 reveals a powerful truth about post-victory exhaustion. After calling down fire from heaven on Mount Carmel, this great prophet found himself running for his life and feeling completely alone. His isolation distorted his perception, making him believe he was the only faithful person left in Israel. God responded not with more dramatic displays of power, but with a gentle whisper, renewed purpose, and the revelation that 7,000 others remained faithful. This teaches us that even after our greatest victories, we need God's presence, Christian community, and the reminder that we're never truly alone in our faith journey.
